At its heart, the House of Hope is more than walls and programs.
It is a place where neighbors discover belonging, families find stability, and young people step into their God-given potential. It is a lasting beacon of hope, rooted in faith, built to transform lives for generations to come.
By 2030, we envision a Rogers Park where:
- A student has a consistent place to be known and challenged after school.
- A caregiver gains the skills and support network to steady the home.
- A neighbor in distress finds calm peers and a plan on a hard day.
- A legacy of hope takes root—a hub that will serve families for decades.
Expanding our Rogers Park Footprint
Our commitment to walk with youth and families has outgrown our current footprint.
Enrollment is full with a waitlist, and summer participation has climbed to nearly 100 students. The House of Hope—just steps from our current headquarters on Howard Street—lets us deepen support without asking neighbors to travel farther or navigate unfamiliar systems. It’s a warm, two‑story home base designed for learning, belonging, and hope.
The Need
Why Here—and Why Now
Families in North of Howard face real barriers: long work hours, language and childcare hurdles, limited affordable, trauma‑informed mental‑health options, and transportation challenges. Placing help in the neighborhood with the staff families already know increases follow‑through. Proximity turns occasional touchpoints into consistent relationships that replace isolation with accountability and encouragement.
Vision for the House of Hope
With this expansion, C24/7 will be able to offer lasting hope to more children, parents, and neighbors in the Rogers Park community.
Welcome more youth, more often.
Additional after‑school and evening capacity means more students matched with mentors, more tutoring, and more nights of safe recreation and enrichment.
Whole‑family Supports Under One Roof
Parenting and financial‑literacy classes, job readiness coaching, and a welcoming Kitchen & Living Room for shared meals (up to 100) create a steady table where families learn and grow together.
Recovery‑informed Wellness
A living room–style, peer-led model offers calm, compassionate support that helps de-escalate crises and builds practical coping skills.
A True Community Room
A flexible gym and event hall hosts youth leagues, open gym, partner workshops, and neighborhood gatherings—safe outlets that become everyday habits.
Stewardship by Design
Lower utilities and maintenance mean your gift funds tutoring, meals, and care year after year.
Design that Serves the Mission
Built for impact, not overhead — smart, light‑filled, water‑ and energy‑efficient design keeps costs low so more dollars reach people year after year.
Hope, community, and a family we could count on.
“When my son started coming to C24/7, I was working two jobs just to keep food on the table. He would come home smiling, telling me about his mentor and the meals they shared. For the first time, I felt like I wasn’t raising him alone. C24/7 gave us more than help with homework—it gave us hope, community, and a family we could count on.”
